Singapore is one of the countries with the lower healthcare expenditure in the world,and its healthcare system has been rated as the most efficient one in Asia,ranking among the leading systems globally.This article studies Singapore's"inverted pyramid"healthcare system and its evolution,analyzing various methods of payment under this system,including the Subsidy,the MediShield Life,long-term care insurance,the MediSave,commercial health insurance,out-of-pocket payments,co-payments and the Medifund.It summarizes the characteristics of Singapore's healthcare system,providing a reference for constructing a multi-layer healthcare system and improving the healthcare cost-sharing mechanism in China.
