Analysis of the therapeutic effect of intense pulse light combined with glycyrrhetinic acid in the treatment of erythema postacne
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of intense pulsed light combined with glycolic acid in the treatment of erythema postacne. Methods A total of 141 patients with erythema postacne treated with intense pulsed light and intense pulsed light combined with 30% glycine acid in the Department of Dermatology, the First Hospital Affiliated to Army Medical University from August 2019 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,77 cases were treated with intense pulsed light, and 64 cases were treated with intense pulsed light combined with 30% glycolic acid. The patients were treated once every four weeks for a total of three times. After treatment, the clinical efficacy, clinician erythema Assessment Scale score, satisfaction score and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of intense pulsed light combined with 30% glycolic acid treatment group was 60.94% ,which was significantly higher than 44.16% of intense pulsed light treatment group(P<0.05).After three courses of treatment, the degree of erythema in the two groups was significantly improved. The ceas score of the intense pulsed light combined with 30% glycolic acid treatment group was(1.78±1.133),which was significantly lower than that of the intense pulsed light treatment group(2.18±1.180)(t = 2.045,P = 0.043).The satisfaction of intense pulsed light combined with 30% glycolic acid treatment group was 81.25% ,which was higher than 71.43% of intense pulsed light treatment group. No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusions Intense pulsed light combined with glycolic acid in the treatment of erythema postacne has significant curative effect, which can effectively reduce the degree of erythema. The treatment has high safety, patient satisfaction, and high clinical application value.
