Clinical pathway exploration for the treatment of mild and moderate cup ear
Objective To explore and combine various methods to treat mild and moderate cup ear deformity with new clinical thinking.Methods The one of cup ears can be divided into three problem parts which is cup-shaped ear size,localized deformity,spatial location of affected ear,based on the aesthetic measurement by clinician and the patients'intuitive feeling.In accordance with the order,through flexibly use which of v-y propulsion method,Tanzer method,multi-point suspension fixed on deep craniofacial fascia and so on,we can use one or combination of multiple methods to achieve treatment or cosmetic effects in correcting mild and moderate cup ear malformation.Results In the clinical treatment of 14 cases(a total of 25 ears),During the stitches removal,all the patients were satisfied with the postoperative effect after the removal of the suture,and six months later,There are thirteen cases were satisfied with the effect,one female patient with monaural treatment felt slight asymmetry in both ears,she could accept but the re-operation treatment.Conclusion Dividing the cup ear into three adjustable parts and treating the mild and moderate cup ear deformity in one order which is cup-shaped ear size,localized deformity,spatial location of affected ear,not only brings a new idea for the treatment of cup ear deformity,but also makes the treated patients more confident.
