Comparison of immediate implantation and site-saving implantation after minimally invasive extraction of upper teeth
Objective To compare the effects of immediate implantation and site-preserving implantation on anterior teeth after minimally invasive extraction. Methods From January 2021 to July 2023,64 patients with minimally invasive extraction of anterior teeth in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into two groups according to the time of admission, with 32 cases in each group. The control group was implanted with site preservation after minimally invasive tooth extraction, while the observation group was implanted immediately after minimally invasive tooth extraction. The aesthetic effects of red and white[red aesthetic index score(PES)and white aesthetic index(WES)],alveolar bone related indexes and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Six months after treatment, the PES score(13.53±0.21)and WES score(9.75±0.11)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(11.86±0.16)and(8.69±0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The alveolar bone height, alveolar bone width and alveolar bone density in the observation group were(14.66±1.32)mm,(6.87±0.83)mm and(1.67±0.11)g/cm2 respectively higher than those in the control group(12.54±1.41)mm,(5.71±0.76)mm and(1.33±0.24)g/cm2.The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Immediate implant therapy for patients with minimally invasive extraction of anterior teeth is better than site preservation implant therapy, which can effectively improve the aesthetic effect of red and white, improve alveolar bone related indexes and improve satisfaction, and is worth popularizing.
