Evaluation of the effectiveness of initial repair surgery for unilateral cleft lip
Objective To explore the effects of initial unilateral cleft lip repair surgery on the efficacy,aesthetic satisfaction,and facial soft tissue indicators of patients with congenital cleft lip.Methods A total of 69 patients with congenital cleft lip admitted to our hospital from February 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Unilateral cleft lip repair surgery was performed at the initial stage,and patient satisfaction,postoperative adverse reactions,and maxillary growth and development were observed.Results After treatment,the growth and development indicators of the maxilla were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05).After surgery,the width of the affected nostril,the width of the healthy nostril,the height of the affected nostril,and the area of the affected nostril were significantly better than preoperative data(P<0.05).After surgery,the width of the affected nostril,the width of the healthy nostril,the height of the affected nostril,and the area of the affected nostril were significantly better than preoperative data(P<0.05).The NOSE nasal obstruction score of postoperative patients was significantly better than preoperative scores,and the NOSE nasal obstruction score was significantly lower than preoperative scores(P<0.05).A total of 69 patients experienced postoperative laryngeal edema in 1 case(1.45%)and poor postoperative healing in 1 case(1.45%),with a total complication rate of 2.90%.Conclusion The application of unilateral cleft lip initial repair surgery can improve the clinical efficacy and facial soft tissue indicators of congenital cleft lip patients,improve the patient's deformity situation,and is safe and reliable.
