Clinical effect of injecting type A botulinum toxin into the corners of the eyes and eye bag plastic surgery for the treatment of loose skin under the eyes
Objective To explore the clinical effect of injecting type A botulinum toxin into the corners of the eye and eye bag plastic surgery for the treatment of eye bag skin relaxation.Methods A total of 87 patients with loose skin under the eye bags from January 2020 to February 2024 who were admitted in Huaiyang Hand Surgery Hospital and Shanghai Joyful Well Medical Beauty Hospital were selected,and randomly divided into the study group(n=44,corner injection of botulinum toxin A and eye bag plastic surgery)and the control group(n=43,eye bag plastic surgery)according to different treatment methods.The clinical efficacy,periocular repair effect,aesthetic score,patient satisfaction,and complications in both groups were compared.Results In the total effective rate of treatment,in compartision of the control group(81.40%),the study group(97.73%)was higher(P<0.05).The postoperative periocular repair effect scores in both groups were increased(P<0.05),and in compartision of the control group,the study group was higher(P<0.05).The postoperative aesthetic scores in both groups were increased(P<0.05),and in compartision of the control group,the study group was higher(P<0.05).In the patient satisfaction,in compartision of the control group(76.74%),the study group(95.45%)was higher(P<0.05).In the incidence of complications,in compartision of the control group(23.26%),the study group(6.82%)was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of injection of type A botulinum toxin into the corners of the eyes and eye bag plastic surgery is applied in the treatment of patients with eye bag skin relaxation,improving the effect of plastic surgery and repair,improving eye skin relaxation,increasing patient satisfaction,and reducing the risk of complications.
