Clinical Observation on the Application of Anatomical Reduction Concept in Repairing Overwidth Deformities After Double Eyelid Surgery
Objective To observe the clinical effect of applying anatomical reduction concept to repair excessive width deformity after double eyelid surgery. Methods From January 2020 to August 2022,34 patients(57 eyes)with postoperative widened double eyelid surgery in our hospital were treated with double eyelid reconstruction by redesigning the double eyelid incision line and applying the anatomical reductionconcept, using the skin above the new incision line, scar orbicularis oculi muscle composite tissue flap, and orbital septum fat(or Roof)for double eyelid repair.Result After 12 months of postoperative follow-up,34 patients had natural and smooth double eyelids, which were basically symmetrical. The original incision marks were faded, and there were no complications such as multiple eyelids or incomplete closure;Only 2 patients were found to have narrow double eyelids, which were repaired six months later, and the results were satisfactory. Conclusion The concept of anatomical reduction has a good guiding role in the repair of cases of excessive width deformity after double eyelid surgery.
