Clinical study on the improvement of skin texture with micro cross-linked hyaluronic acid for injection
Objective To explore the effectiveness and safety of micro cross-linked hyaluronic acid with different concentrations for improving skin texture after intradermal injection. Methods 46 female volunteers, aged from 23 to 37 years old, were recruited and randomly divided into two groups. The micro cross-linked hyaluronic acid for injection with a concentration of 5mg/mL(Group A)and 6mg/mL(Group B)were respectively used for facial intradermal injection.Comparative analysis was conducted using an MPA skin tester before and 1 week,2 weeks, and 1 month after treatment, and patient satisfaction and complications were followed up after treatment. Results All of 46 patients successfully completed treatment and follow-up,44 patients completed skin testing, and 2 patients was unable to complete testing due to business travel. The MPA skin tester showed that Group A had a positive effect on the skin color, glossiness, and friction at various time compared to Group B(P=0.007,0.016,and 0.023);However,there was no difference in HA concentration between the two groups in terms of skin moisture content score(P=0.141).The satisfaction rate survey one month after treatment showed that the Group A was 81.82%,significantly higher than the 25%in the Group B(P=0.036).There was no statistically significant difference in postoperative complications between the two groups. There was no difference in HA concentration(P=0.141).Conclusion The low concentration injection of micro cross-linked hyaluronic acid into the facial dermis has a good effect on improving the skin texture. The subjects have high satisfaction and safety, which is worthy of clinical application.
