Observation on the therapeutic and aesthetic effects of straight wire sliding orthodontic technique combined with micro screw implant support in patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of straight wire sliding correction technology combined with micro screw implant support in patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 80 patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion treated in the Department of Orthodontics at Changchun Stomatological Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.Divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, the control group received treatment with straight wire arch sliding correction technology, while the observation group received treatment with straight wire arch sliding correction technology combined with micro screw implant anchorage.Compare the facial aesthetic effects, bite function, oral function, and incidence of adverse events between two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in SNB between the two groups after treatment and before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,SNA and ANB decreased in both groups;MMCOF,AOF,and COF indicators were lower than before treatment, while TOF was higher than before treatment; After treatment, the swallowing, chewing, and comfort scores of the two groups were higher than before treatment; The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group; The difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of straight wire arch sliding correction technology and micro screw implant support can improve the facial aesthetic effect, bite function, and oral function of patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion, and reduce the incidence of adverse events.
