Clinical Effect and Prognosis of Layered Suture in the Treatment of Total Eyelid Laceration
Objective To explore the clinical effect and prognosis analysis of layered suture treatment of total eyelid laceration. Methods A total of 147 patients with total eyelid laceration received in Zibo 148 Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were included, and all patients were treated with layered suture, comparing patients'postoperative healing, pain level, upper and lower eyelid distance, eyelid muscle strength grade and complications. Results The healing rate of 147 patients(147 locations)with full eyelid lacerations was 100%after suture revision. There were 53 cases of upper and lower lacrimal duct rupture, and 51 cases of postoperative anastomosis were successful(96.27%);20 cases of defects>1/4 of the total length recovered well in 17 cases(85.00%);12 cases of defects<1/4 of the total length recovered well in 10 cases(83.33%).At 1,3,and 7 d postoperatively, the patients'VAS scores were lower than those before surgery(P<0.05);the distance between the upper and lower eyelids of the patients was shorter than that before surgery(P<0.05),and the grade of eyelid muscle strength was higher than that before surgery(P<0.05);and the incidence of postoperative complications in all patients was 8.84%.Conclusion The effect of adopting layered suture for the treatment of total eyelid laceration is remarkable, which can promote the healing of trauma, reduce the postoperative pain of patients, improve eyelid function with high safety, and can be continuously pushed into the clinic.
