Efficacy of Botulinum Toxin Type A Injection Combined with Ultrapulse Carbon Dioxide Fractional Laser in the Treatment of Hypertrophic Scar
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of botulinum toxin type A injection combined with ultrapulse carbon dioxide fractional laser in the treatment of hypertrophic scar. Methods A total of 35 patients with hypertrophic scars treated with type A botulinum toxin combined with ultra pulsed carbon dioxide lattice laser at Zhengzhou Tilaimei Medical Beauty Hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were included in the observation group, and 35 patients with hypertrophic scars treated solely with ultra pulsed carbon dioxide lattice laser during the same period were included in the control group. The scores of observer scar assessment scale(OSAS),modified Vancouver Scar Scale(mVSS),scar area and thickness, and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the OSAS and mVSS scores,as well as scar area and thickness in the two groups were decreased, and the OSAS and mVSS scores,as well as scar area and thickness in the observation group were lower(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(control group 17.14%;observation group 14.29%,P>0.05).Conclusion Botulinum toxin type A injection combined with ultrapulsed fractional carbon dioxide laser has a good clinical effect in the treatment of hypertrophic scars, which can improve the nature of scars and promote the repair of scars.
