The Effect of Vector Treatment Device Combined with Manual Instrument Subgingival Scraping on the Periodontal Condition and Aesthetics of Patients with Chronic Periodontitis
Objective To analyze the effect of Vector therapy combined with manual subgingival scraping on patients with chronic periodontitis.Method A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 60 chronic periodontitis patients admitted to the Department of Stomatology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from June 2022 to June 2023.They were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods.30 patients who underwent manual instrument subgingival scraping treatment were included in the control group,and 30 patients who received Vector treatment on the basis of the control group were included in the observation group.Result The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;After treatment,the gingival index,plaque index,and probing depth of the treated group were lower than those of the control group.The scores of bite force,chewing efficiency,red aesthetic index,white aesthetic index,and health survey scale in all dimensions were higher than those of the control group,the difference is statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of Vector therapy device and manual instrument subgingival scraping can improve the periodontal condition and chewing function of chronic periodontitis patients,enhance aesthetics,and promote the improvement of quality of life.It has certain application value and is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
