Effect of continuous catgut embedding double eyelid plasty combined with minimally invasive incision liposuction on appearance improvement and complications of patients with asymmetric double eyelid
Objective To explore the effects of double eyelid blepharoplasty and minimally invasive liposuction on the appearance improvement and complications of patients with asymmetric double eyelid. Methods The data of 84 patients with asymmetric double eyelid in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into two groups according to different surgical methods. The control group(42 cases)was treated with routine double eyelid blepharoplasty incision, and the observation group(42 cases)was treated with continuous thread embedding double eyelid blepharoplasty combined with minimally invasive liposuction. The perioperative related indexes, appearance improvement and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time, incision length(2.43±0.32)cm and incision healing time(5.35±1.24)d in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss(24.58±3.07)mL was less than that in the control group. The incidence of complications(4.76%)was lower than that of the control group(19.05%),and the appearance improvement was better than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions Continuous catgut embedding double eyelid blepharoplasty and minimally invasive liposuction can effectively improve the appearance, reduce complications and promote postoperative recovery in patients with asymmetric double eyelid.
