The application of oral care combined with Teach-back mode in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment
Objective To analyze the value of combining oral care and Teachback mode in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment. Methods 100 patients with fixed orthodontic treatment were selected, all treated from January 2023 to December 2023.They were divided into a study group(n=50)and a control group(n=50)using a random number table method. The control group received routine nursing intervention and oral nursing intervention, while the study group provided Teachback mode nursing intervention under the premise of the control group. The nursing intervention effects of the two groups were analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the PLI score of the study group after 3 months of nursing care was lower(P<0.05),while the ESCA score was significantly higher(P<0.05).Compared to the control group, the study group had significantly fewer complications(P<0.05).Conclusions The application of oral care combined with Teachback mode in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment can not only significantly improve plaque clearance and patient self-care ability, but also significantly reduce complications, which has clinical promotion value.
