Application of extended nursing based on the four action method in the perioperative period of children undergoing hidden penile plastic surgery
Objective Exploring the application effect of extended nursing based on the four action method in the perioperative period of children undergoing concealed penile plastic surgery. Methods To 82 children who underwent concealed penile plastic surgery in a tertiary hospital from January 2020 to March 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into an observation group(n=41)and a control group(n=41).The control group received routine surgical nursing measures, while the observation group received extended nursing based on the four action method in addition to routine nursing measures. The postoperative pain scores, incidence of short-term and long-term complications, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of children were observed at different stages after surgery. Results The pain scores of the observation group on postoperative day, postoperative day 3,and postoperative day 7 were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The incidence of short-term complications in the observation group was 19.51%,lower than the control group's 41.46%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.661,P=0.031).The incidence of long-term complications was 4.88%,lower than the control group's 19.51%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.100,P=0.043).The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was 100%,significantly higher than the control group's 85.37%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.496,P=0.034).Conclusions Extended nursing based on the four action method can effectively alleviate postoperative pain in children with concealed penile plastic surgery, reduce the incidence of short-term and long-term complications, and improve nursing satisfaction. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
