The application of stromal vascular fraction gel in temple augmentation
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of stromal vascular fraction gel(SVF-gel)in the treatment of temporal hollowing.Methods The clinical data of 24 patients(48 sides)with temporal depression requiring surgical repair admitted to the medical cosmetology department of Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Subcutaneous fat was extracted by tumescent liposuction to prepare adipose stem cell glue.Fat stem cell glue transplantation was performed by deep injection and shallow spreading method(selecting 2 to 4 points at the deepest part of the temporal depression for needle entry,sharp needle injection in the temporal muscle periosteum space,and blunt needle tiling in the superficial temporal fascia).The patients were followed up regularly after operation to investigate the depression severity evaluation scale and the satisfaction of doctors,patients and third parties.Results All patients successfully completed the operation,and the unilateral transplantation dose was 6.0～12.0 mL,with an average of 8.9 mL.Local bruising occurred in 2 cases after operation,which gradually subsided in about oneweek without serious complications.After 6～12 months of follow-up,the temporal contour,plumpness and skin texture were improved,without local nodules and uneven.32 sides(66.7%)of temporal depression improved≥2 grades after surgery,and the satisfaction rate of doctors,patients and the third party was greater than 87.5%.Conclusions The clinical effect of applying deep injection and shallow spreading method to fill the temporal region with adipose stem cell glue is good,simple and feasible,and worthy of promotion.
