Analysis of the application effect of digital guide in implant restoration of multiple tooth loss in the aesthetic area
Objective To investigate the application effect of digital guides in implant restoration of multiple missing teeth in the aesthetic zone. Methods From January 2022 to December 2023,60 patients who underwent implant restoration in Hefei Stomatological Hospital due to polydontia in the aesthetic area of upper anterior teeth were selected as the study objects.According to different treatment methods, the patients were divided into 2 groups, with 30 cases in each group.Group A was the control group, and conventional implant repair was performed by free hand, while group B was assisted by digital guide. The deviation of implant position and aesthetic effect score before and after repair were compared between the two groups. Results Post-restorative implant cervical, apical, depth and angular deviation:(1.36±0.18)mm,(1.56±0.21)mm,(1.47±0.15)mm,(6.87±1.78)° in group A,and(0.45±0.14)mm,(0.69±0.16)mm,(0.54±0.11)mm,(2.96±1.49)°,all of which were smaller in group B than in group A.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The red and white aesthetic scores after repair were(11.09±1.86)and(7.46±1.41)in group A and(14.09±1.74)and(8.89±1.35)in group B.Group B was significantly higher than that of group A,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions The auxiliary application of digital guide technology in the implant restoration of multiple missing teeth in the aesthetic area of the upper anterior teeth is helpful to improve the accuracy of implant implantation and obtain better aesthetic results, which is worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice.
