Effect of invisible appliance without bracket on periodontal index and dental aesthetics of orthodontic patients
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of non bracket invisible orthodontic appliances on orthodontic patients.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 82 patients who underwent orthodontic treatment at Nanhua Hospital affiliated with Nanhua University from May 2021 to May 2023.Forty one patients admitted from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the control group and treated with traditional fixed orthodontic appliances.Forty one patients admitted from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the observation group and treated with non bracket invisible orthodontic appliances.Compare the periodontal index and dental aesthetics between two groups before and after orthodontic treatment.Results After correction,the gingival index(2.18±0.13)score,probing depth(2.56±0.52)mm,gingival bleeding index(1.87±0.38)score,and plaque index(1.23±0.17)score of the observation group were all lower than those of the control group;The red aesthetic index score(10.76±1.45)was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions The application of non bracket invisible orthodontic appliances in orthodontics can achieve definite therapeutic effects,significantly improve the patient's periodontal index,and significantly enhance the aesthetic appearance of teeth.
