Effect of botulinum toxin type A combined photoelectric synergistic technology on skin erythema index in mild to moderate rosacea patients
Objective To investigate the effect of botulinum toxin type A combined with photoelectrochemical synergy technology on the skin erythema index of patients with papular pustular rosacea. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 150 patients with papular pustular rosacea admitted to the Medical Aesthetics Department of Weihai Municipal Hospital affiliated to Shandong University from May 2021 to February 2024.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into two groups:the control group(n=75)was treated with photoelectric synergistic technology, and the observation group(n=75)was treated with botulinum toxin type A combined with photoelectric synergistic technology. The skin erythema index, papular pustules, skin barrier function, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the symptom score and skin erythema index of the observation group were lower than those of the control group the skin barrier function was better than that of the control group, and the adverse reactions were less than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).(P<0.05).Conclusions The intervention of botulinum toxin type A combined with photoelectronic synergy technology can improve the symptom score, skin barrier, and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions in patients with papular pustular rosacea.
