The clinical effect of removing orbital septum fat to strengthen orbital septum supporting tissue and assisted pouch plastic surgery to correct lower eyelid pouch with lacrimal sulcus deformity
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of orbital septum fat removal and orbital septum supporting tissue assisted pouch plastic surgery in the correction of lower eyelid pouch with lacrimal groove deformity. Methods A total of eighty patients with lower eye bags accompanied by tear trough deformity who were treated in Suzhou Meilai Cosmetic Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into a control group and a study group according to a random number table;the control group underwent blepharoplasty, and the study group underwent debulking of orbital fat and strengthening of orbital septum support tissue-assisted blepharoplasty,to compare the severity of tear trough deformity and the occurrence of postoperative complications in the patients of the two groups. Results The treatment efficiency of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the incidence of postoperative complications such as incision infection in the study group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Removal of orbital septum fat to strengthen orbital septum supporting tissue assisted pouch surgery is more effective than sole pouch surgery in the treatment of lower eyelid pouch with lacrimal sulcus malformation. The postoperative recovery time is shorter, the ocular improvement is better, and the risk of postoperative complications is lower.
