Application effect of porcelain veneer and nano-resin in repairing incisal Angle defect of anterior teeth
Objective To investigate the application effect of porcelain veneer and nano-resin in the repair of incisal Angle defect of anterior teeth.Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 67 patients with anterior incisor Angle defect repair admitted to Zhengzhou 460 Hospital from January 2022 to June 2024.and they were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods.Ceramic veneer group(32 cases)was given porcelain veneer repair,nano resin group(35 cases)was given nano resin repair.The rate of good repair(integrity,color matching,edge fit,edge coloring)at 6 months after repair was evaluated in both groups.Periodontal index(PD),plaque index(PLI),gingival bleeding index(SBI)and clinical attachment loss(CAL)were compared between the two groups before and after restoration.Complications were recorded in both groups during 6 months after repair.Results After repair,the index of good repair rate(integrity,color matching,edge fit,edge coloring)in porcelain veneer group was higher than that in nano-resin group(P＜0.05).PD,PLI,SBI and CAL after repair were lower than those before repair,and the periodontal indexes in porcelain veneer group were lower than those in nano resin group(P＜0.05).The complication rate of ceramic veneer group was lower than that of nano resin group(3.13％vs 22.86％,P＜0.05).Conclusions Compared with nano-resin,porcelain veneer has better repair rate of incisal Angle defect,better improvement of periodontal indexes,and lower complication rate.
