Application of pouch plastic surgery combined with autologous fat transplantation in the treatment of senile lacrimal pouch
Objective To investigate the effect of pouch plastic surgery combined with autologous fat transplantation in the treatment of senile lacrimal pouch.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 52 elderly patients with eye bags accompanied by lacrimal groove depression deformity at Enxi Medical Beauty Hospital in Chengdu from March 2021 to January 2023.All patients underwent lacrimal groove type eye bag correction surgery.The surgery adopts the skin approach of the lower eyelid margin,with appropriate removal of skin,muscle,and orbital fat.Fat is extracted from the inner thigh and prepared into granular fat,which is then transplanted and filled into the lacrimal groove and some periorbital areas using an 18G liposuction needle.Results Fifty-two patients were followed up for 1 week and 3 to 6 months after surgery,and significant improvements were observed in the deformity of eye bags and tear troughs,achieving a rejuvenation effect in the infraorbital region.One case of postoperative hematoma formation and three cases of postoperative lacrimal groove malformation recurrence.Conclusions Pouch plastic surgery combined with autologous fat transplantation for the elderly patients with lacrimal groove depression is simple and convenient,with good cosmetic effect and low complication rate.
