The impact of breast conserving surgery combined with modified radical mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection on the incidence of complications and recurrence in breast cancer patients
Objective To retrospectively compare and analyze the impact of breast conserving surgery combined with modified radical mastectomy(Axillary lymph nodes dissection,ALNB)on the incidence of complications and recurrence rate in breast cancer patients. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 80 breast cancer patients who were treated at Jiaozuo People's Hospital from November 2020 to November 2022,with 40 patients in each group.Patients in the control group will undergo modified radical mastectomy combined with ALNB,while patients in the observation group will undergo plastic breast conserving surgery combined with ALNB.The surgical indicators,CEACAM1,BXTM,CEA,shoulder mobility, cosmetic effect, quality of life, complications, and recurrence rate were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had less bleeding, shorter axillary extubation and surgery time, and less axillary drainage volume, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);Compared with preoperative levels,CEACAM1,BXTM,and CEA in both groups showed significant improvement one week after surgery, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);Six months after surgery, the shoulder mobility of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Six months after surgery, there was no statistically significant difference in postoperative cosmetic effects between the two groups of patients(P>0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusions Breast cancer patients undergoing plastic breast-conserving surgery combined with ALNB treatment can improve shoulder mobility, enhance quality of life, and promote rapid recovery.
