Effect of Orthopedic Insole on Functional Incompetence of Posterior Tibial Tendon
Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of orthopedic insole on posterior tibial tendon insufficiency.Methods:34 patients with PTTD were divided into study group(17 cases)and control group(17 cases)by random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional drugs. The pain visual analogue scale(VAS)and foot function index(FFI)were compared between the two groups before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. Results:After 4 weeks of treatment, visual analogue scale(VAS)and foot function index(FFI)of the study group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Orthopedic insole can relieve the pain of functional deformity of posterior tibial tendon and improve the function of foot and ankle.
