Diagnostic Value of 3.0T High Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Rotator Cuff Injury
Objective:Exploring the diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of 3.0T high field magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for rotator cuff injury, analyzing the MRI shoulder soft tissue imaging of rotator cuff injury, and providing reliable imaging basis for the diagnosis and evaluation of rotator cuff injury.Methods:60 suspected patients with rotator cuff injury admitted to the Medical Imaging Department of Mindong Hospital in Ningde City from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the research subjects.3.0T high field magnetic resonance imaging was used for diagnosis, and pathological examination results were used as the gold standard. The detection accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of MRI diagnosis of rotator cuff injury,as well as the consistency of shoulder joint injury classification under MRI imaging, were analyzed and Kappa test was performed.Analyze the imaging characteristics of rotator cuff injury under MRI imaging, and comprehensively analyze the type, location, and degree of rotator cuff injury. Results:The accuracy of MRI examination was 93.33%(56/60),and the sensitivity was 94.34%(50/53),which was consistent with the gold standard. The Kappa values were 0.835 and 0.830,and the specificity was 85.71%(6/7).The consistency with the gold standard was good, with a Kappa value of 0.785;In the diagnosis of rotator cuff injury types using 3.0T high field magnetic resonance imaging, the consistency between the diagnosis of type I and type II and pathological diagnosis is good, and the consistency between the diagnosis of types III-V and pathological diagnosis is good. The MRI imaging analysis of rotator cuff injury revealed that T1 weighted imaging showed the shape and position of the tendon, while T2 weighted imaging showed the moisture content, lesion status, and tear of the tendon.Based on MRI images of rotator cuff injury, the type of rotator cuff injury can be determined.Complete tear:low signal intensity on T1WI,high signal intensity on T2WI,complete rupture of rotator cuff tissue, and full-thickness rupture of the rotator cuff supraspinatus tendon that runs through the entire rotator cuff.Partial tear:High signal intensity on T2WI,low signal intensity on T1WI,manifested on the same side of the supraspinatus tendon, signal not penetrating the entire layer, and local deformation and edema of the rotator cuff tissue. Conclusion:The diagnostic value of using 3.0T high field magnetic resonance imaging for rotator cuff injury is high, and it can accurately classify rotator cuff injury.By observing and analyzing the surrounding soft tissue on MRI images of rotator cuff injury, the scope, type, and severity of rotator cuff injury can be determined, providing more accurate reference basis for treatment.
