320-Slice CT Examination and Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Parotid Gland Tumors
Objective:To analyze the 320-slice CT examination and differential diagnosis of benign and malignant parotid gland tumors.Methods:60 highly suspected parotid gland tumor patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to October 2023 were selected for routine ultrasound examination and 320-slice CT examination, respectively. The pathological puncture results were used as the gold standard for this study. Results:Pathological puncture results showed that 10 cases were malignant and 50 cases were benign.Ultrasonography confirmed 2 malignant cases and 58 benign cases.CT confirmed 9 malignant cases and 51 benign cases. The diagnostic accuracy(96.67%)and sensitivity(90.00%)of CT were higher than those of ultrasound(83.33%and 20.00%),P<0.05.The specificity of ultrasound examination(96.00%)was higher than that of CT(98.00%),P>0.05.In Kappa test, conventional ultrasound was generally consistent with gold standard(Kappa value=0.599),and CT was well consistent with gold standard(Kappa value=0.789),P<0.05.The rate of grade 3-4(88.89%),irregular foliation(88.89%),boundary blurring(77.78%),uneven density(88.89%),deep leaf and cross leaf location(77.78%)in malignant group was higher than that in benign group(41.12%,29.41%,21.57%,35.29%,37.25%),P<0.05.The CT values of plain scan and enhanced scan in malignant group were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion:320-slice CT can improve the diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity of benign and malignant parotid tumors, provide imaging signs such as clarity and location, and assist the clinical formulation of targeted treatment for patients.
