Application Effect of Video Electroencephalogram on Intermittent Epileptic Discharge and Its Influence on Detection Rate
Objective:To explore the video application effect of epilepsy electroencephalogram(EEG)to break the sample discharge and its influence on detection rate. Methods:This study took 60 epilepsy patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 as the research object. They were divided into two groups by the random number table method. The control group(n=30)received only routine EEG monitoring(REEG),while the observation group(n=30)received only long-term video EEG monitoring(VEEG).At the same time, they also carried out flash stimulation test,eye-opening and closing test, and hyperventilation test. The detection rate of epileptiform discharge and the diagnostic accuracy of the two groups of subjects were recorded. Results:The detection rate of epileptiform discharge in the observation group was 50%,while that in the control group was 27%,with significant statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).The diagnostic accuracy of the observation group was 63.33%,while that of the control group was 33.33%,with significant statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Video electroencephalogram monitoring can improve the detection rate of interictal epileptiform discharges, help to improve the diagnostic accuracy, and has high application effect.
