Effectiveness Evaluation of Immediate-Effect Foam Multienzyme Cleanser in Pretreatment of Surgical Instruments
Objective:To explore the effects of immediate-effect foam multienzyme cleanser on the pretreatment of surgical instruments. Methods:A total of 2000 reusable surgical instruments were selected from the disinfection and supply center of Shenzhen Hospital(Futian),Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 1000 pieces in each group. The observation group was pretreated with immediate-effect foam multienzyme cleanser combined with foaming machine, the control group was given ordinary enzyme cleaner soaking pretreatment, and the cleaning rate, cleaning effect of repeated soaking times, timeliness of enzyme solution, average monthly usage and monthly fee were compared between two group. Results:According to the naked eye measurement evaluation, the qualified rate of the observation group was 97.60%,significantly higher than the qualified rate of the control group of 93.00%(P<0.05);The qualified rate of cleaning in the study group was 96.30%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group with 91.50%(P<0.05)using 5 times magnifying glass with light source.By ATP fluorescence detection, the qualified rate of cleaning in the study group was 92.80%,which wassignificantly higher than that in the control group with 84.90%(P<0.05).Through statistical comparison,it was found that the cleaning effect of ordinary multi-enzyme detergent decreased with the increase of soaking times(P<0.05).At the same time,in the observation group, the average monthly volume and cost were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion:The cleaning effect of surgical instruments after pretreated with the immediate-effect foam multienzyme cleanser is significantly better than that of ordinary multi-enzyme detergent, and the cost is lowerand more convenient to use.
