Relationship Between Quantitative Parameters of Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI and Pathological Features and Clinical Prognosis in Patients with Breast Cancer
Objective:To investigate the relationship between quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI and pathological features and clinical prognosis in patients with breast cancer.Methods:160 patients with primary breast cancer who received radical mastectomy in our hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were selected as the breast cancer group, and 100 patients who received breast nodule resection in our hospital during the same period and were confirmed as benign by intraoperative pathology were selected as the benign control group.Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI was performed before surgery and quantitative parameters[rate constant(Kep),volume transfer constant(Ktrans),extracellular space volume ratio(Ve)]were obtained.Quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI were compared between patients in the breast cancer group and the benign control group, and the relationship between quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and pathological characteristics as well as the relationship between quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and prognosis of breast cancer was analyzed. Results:The quantitative parameters Kep,Ktrans and Ve values of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in breast cancer group were higher than those in benign control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).In patients with breast cancer, there were statistically significant differences in Kep,Ktrans and Ve values of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI quantitative parameters in patients with different stages, lymph node metastasis and differentiation course(P<0.05).The quantitative parameters Kep,Ktrans and Ve values of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI in patients with recurrence before surgery were higher than those in patients without recurrence, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions:Quantitative parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in breast cancer patients are closely related to pathological characteristics, and can affect postoperative recurrence. Therefore, preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI may play a positive role in the evaluation of breast cancer disease and the prediction of surgical outcome, and is a reliable means of examination.
