The Application Value of Respiratory Humidification Therapy Instrument in Oxygen Therapy for Elderly Patients with Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Caused by Insufficient Oxygen Supply
Objective:To analyze the application value of respiratory humidification therapy in oxygen therapy for elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease caused by oxygen deficiency.Methods:70 elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and oxygen deficiency admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group, with 35 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with a respiratory humidification therapy device, while the control group was treated with conventional treatment methods. The effects of the two groups were observed. Results:In terms of clinical efficacy, the observation group was higher than the control group,P<0.05;From the perspective of physiological indicators, the observation group had fewer daily sputum aspirations than the control group,P<0.05;From the perspective of sputum viscosity, the observation group was superior to the control group,P<0.05;From the perspective of lung function, the improvement of lung function in the observation group was better than that in the control group,P<0.05;From the arterial blood gas index, the PaO2 and SaO2 levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the PaCO2 levels were lower than those in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:For elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease caused by insufficient oxygen supply, the use of respiratory humidification therapy equipment during treatment can improve clinical efficacy and blood gas indicators, improve lung function, and reduce daily sputum aspiration frequency.
