Evaluation of Diagnostic Accuracy of Cervical Lymph Node Metastasis in Thyroid Cancer
Objective:To investigate the accuracy of ultrasound examination for the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis in thyroid cancer.Methods:169 cases of thyroid cancer who treated in hospitals from January 2020 to December 2022 were included and subjected to computed tomography(CT)and ultrasound examinations. The results of CT and ultrasound in the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis were compared, and the ultrasound parameters of patients with cervical lymph node metastasis of thyroid cancer with those without cervical lymph node metastasis were compared. Results:In thyroid cancer patients, the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis were higher than those of CT examination(P<0.05).The consistency between CT and the diagnostic gold standard was moderate, while the consistency between ultrasound and the diagnostic gold standard was high.In thyroid cancer patients, the detection values of blood flow resistance index, pulsatility index, and the ratio of systolic peak flow velocity to diastolic flow velocity in the neck lymph node metastasis group were higher than those in the non neck lymph node metastasis group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastasis in thyroid cancer patients, ultrasound can achieve more accurate diagnostic results than CT,and ultrasound can detect cervical lymph node metastasis accurately and accurately, which has good diagnostic value.
