Clinical Significance of Ultrasound Examination in the Diagnosis of Fatty Liver Disease
Objective:To analyze the application value of ultrasound examination in the diagnosis of fatty liver. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 65 patients with liver lesions admitted to the hospital from April 2021 to March 2023,including 48 cases of fatty liver,10 cases of liver cysts, and 7 cases of viral hepatitis. All patients have undergone color Doppler ultrasound and CT examinations, analyzing imaging data, and comparing the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and diagnostic efficacy of ultrasound and CT in the diagnosis of fatty liver disease. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of ultrasound and CT in the diagnosis of fatty liver(P>0.05).The diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound for mild to moderate fatty liver was higher than that of CT,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound and CT for severe fatty liver(P>0.05).The thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer in the liver of patients with non fatty liver, mild fatty liver, moderate fatty liver, and severe fatty liver increased sequentially. The sound velocity value of patients with severe fatty liver was significantly lower than that of patients with moderate fatty liver, mild fatty liver, and non fatty liver, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Using ultrasound examination can improve the diagnostic sensitivity of fatty liver, accurately evaluate the degree of fatty liver development, and provide important reference basis for clinical treatment guidance.
