Value of Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography Combined with Carotid Ultrasonography in the Diagnosis of Elderly Ischemic Stroke
Objective:To study the value and application effect of transcranial Doppler ultrasound combined with carotid artery ultrasound in the diagnosis of elderly ischemic stroke. Methods:The data were collected from 60 elderly patients with ischemic stroke admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2022,all of whom were subjected to transcranial Doppler ultrasound, carotid artery ultrasound and combined examination. Results:The sensitivity of transcranial Doppler ultrasound combined with carotid artery ultrasound was higher than that of carotid artery ultrasound and transcranial Doppler ultrasound, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In addition, the detection rate of transcranial Doppler ultrasound combined with carotid artery ultrasound was more similar to that of head and neck CTA,and the detection rate was also higher than that of carotid artery ultrasound and transcranial Doppler ultrasound. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Transcranial Doppler ultrasound combined with carotid artery ultrasound has better accuracy, sensitivity and detection rate in the assessment of carotid artery stenosis than carotid artery ultrasound alone or transcranial Doppler ultrasound.
