Study on the Effect of Low Temperature Peroxyacetic Acid Sterilizer on the Sterilization Quality of Endoscopic Instruments
Objective:To explore the impact of low-temperature peracetic acid sterilizers on the sterilization quality of endoscopic instruments.Methods:100 laparoscopic instruments requiring cleaning,disinfection and sterilization received from the disinfection supply center of our hospital from September 2022 to November 2022 were selected as the study objects,and randomly divided into observation group and control group with 50 pieces each.After cleaning,disinfection,drying and packaging,the observation group was sterilized with low temperature peracetic acid sterilizer,and the control group was sterilized with low temperature hydrogen peroxide sterilizer.The sterilization effect of the instrument was evaluated through physical,chemical and microbial culture,and the portable multi-gas detector was used to monitor the environmental concentration in the sterilization process of the sterilizer,and the sterilization time of the two groups was compared.Results:The average sterilization time of laparoscopic instruments in observation group was significantly shorter than the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant difference in the qualified rate of sterilization in physical and chemical between the two groups(P>0.05).The qualified rate of microbial culture detection of endoscopic lens and endoscopic instruments in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The concentrations of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide in the air after sterilization were lower than the standard.Conclusion:The application of low temperature peracetic acid sterilizer to sterilize endoscopic instruments can obtain good sterilization effect,shorten sterilization time and improve working efficiency,and its safety is good.
