Exploration of High-Quality Development of Medical Consumables Management in Public Hospitals Under Diagnosis Related Groups
Objectives:The purpose of this paper is to study and explore practical methods that aims to achieve high-quality management of medical consumables under Diagnosis Related Groups(DRGs)in public hospitals.Methods:A special evaluation team for medical consumables will be established.Taking the thoracic surgery department with a high proportion of consumables as an example,selecting three high-value consumables with the largest consumption helps us analyze,comment and track management through the three levels of departments,doctors,and consumables to form a full-cycle closed-loop management of consumables,reduce the proportion of consumables in multiple dimensions and levels,and promote rational and standardized use of consumables.Results:The proportion of thoracic surgery materials decreased by 22.88%from the previous month,and the stapler decreased by 44.83%from the previous month,which was 55.07%lower than the average stapler consumption from May 2022 to March 2023;From May 2022 to March 2023,the average consumption of hemostatic materials will be reduced by 45.71%;drainage materials will not be obvious in April,thus further monitoring and control will be required latter.At the same time,the materials consumption of other related departments has also shown a declining trend.The consumption of staplers in the whole hospital has decreased by 35.31%compared with the previous month,and the consumption of hemostatic materials has decreased by 30.53%compared with the previous month.Conclusion:Through the multi-dimensional and multi-level whole-process management of medical consumables in public hospitals,the management level of medical consumables can be effectively improved,and the high-quality development of medical consumables management under DRGs in public hospitals can be realized.
