Establishment and Discussion of PIVKA-Ⅱ Common Reference Interval of Healthy Population in the Medical Union Area of Tongan District General Hospital of Xiamen City
Objective:The common reference interval for PIVKA-Ⅱ among healthy people in the medical union area of Tongan District General Hospital of Xiamen was initially established.Methods:128 serum samples of physical examination subjects in Tongan District General Hospital of Xiamen City from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the research objects.The serum samples of the subjects were detected by electroluminescence method for AFP and enzymic immunosorbent assay for PIVKA-Ⅱ,and the results were statistically analyzed.Results:The levels of serum AFP and PIVKA-Ⅱ in Tongan District of Xiamen,and the reference ranges of AFP and PIVKA-Ⅱ were divided according to age and sex.The reference ranges for males were as follows:The population aged 18 to 29 was 9.29 to 39.48 mAU/mL,the population aged 30 to 49 was 10.88 to 35.45 mAU/mL,and the population aged 50 or older was 8.65 to 35.48mAU/mL.For females,the reference range was 10.55 to 38.52mAU/mL from 18 to 29 years old,11.01 to 27.46 mAU/mL from 30 to 49 years old,and 9.42 to 49.75mAU/mL from≥50 years old.For AFP levels,the reference range was 1.11 to 5.92μg/L in males aged 18 to 29 years,1.25 to 9.71μg/L in males aged 30 to 49 years,and 1.18 to 9.92μg/L in males aged 50 years or older.For females,the reference range was 1.00-7.19μg/L for 18 to 29 years old,1.00-6.24μg/L for 30 to 49 years old,and 1.09-16.22μg/L for≥50 years old.Conclusion:The common reference interval for PIVKA-Ⅱ among healthy people in the medical union area of Tongan District General Hospital of Xiamen has been initially established,which can provide certain guidance for the clinical diagnosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
