Diagnostic Value of Pituitary 1.5T MRI Imaging Combined with Growth Hormone Induction Test in Children with Dwarfism
Objective:To study and analyze the diagnostic value of pituitary 1.5TMRI imaging combined with growth hormone(GH)induction test in diagnosis of childhood dwarfism. Methods:This study selected 64 children with dwarfism and 50 children with precocious puberty admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 as the observation group and control group. Both groups of children require pituitary 1.5TMRI imaging examination, while the observation group also needs to undergo GH induction tests with levodopa and arginine. Results:The incidence of abnormal pituitary sagittal anteroposterior diameter, coronal height diameter, and coronal width diameter in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while the incidence of abnormal pituitary morphology was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05);The incidence of pituitary sagittal anteroposterior diameter, coronal height diameter, coronal width diameter, and pituitary morphology abnormalities in pituitary 1.5TMRI was lower in single detection than in ACU with combined detection(P<0.05);The abnormal rates of sagittal anteroposterior diameter, coronal height diameter, and coronal width diameter of the pituitary gland in the ISS group were higher than those in the GHD group, while the GHmax of levodopa and arginine were higher than those in the GHD group. The incidence of abnormal pituitary morphology was lower than that in the GHD group(P<0.05);In the examination and differentiation of ISS and GHD,the single test ACU of pituitary 1.5TMRI and GH induction test was significantly smaller than the combined test(P<0.05);The detection rate of pituitary morphology abnormalities in 64 children was 43.75%.Conclusion:Pituitary 1.5TMRI imaging combined with GH induction test can effectively differentiate ISS and GHD.
