Analysis of the Application Value of Multimodal MRI in Preoperative TN Staging of Rectal Cancer Patients
Objective:To explore the application value of multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in preoperative TN staging of rectal cancer patients.Methods:60 patients with rectal cancer admitted to the Sixth Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from October 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. All patients were examined by multimodal MRI before surgery. The diagnostic value of multimodal MRI in preoperative T stage and N stage of rectal cancer patients was analyzed based on the pathological examination results as the gold standard. Results:Based on pathological results as the gold standard, the preoperative T staging of 60 rectal cancer patients included 10 cases in T1 stage,16 cases in T2 stage,23 cases in T3 stage, and 11 cases in T4 stage; The diagnostic accuracy of multimodal MRI in preoperative T1,T2,T3,and T4 stages of rectal cancer patients was 80.00%,87.50%,86.96%,and 90.91%,respectively;The consistency between preoperative T staging and pathological results in the diagnosis of rectal cancer using multimodal MRI is high(Kappa value=0.741,P<0.05).Based on pathological results as the gold standard, the 60 rectal cancer patients included in the preoperative N staging were N0 stage in 11 cases,N1 stage in 35 cases, and N2 stage in 14 cases; The diagnostic accuracy of multimodal MRI for preoperative N0,N1,and N2 stages in rectal cancer patients was 90.91%,88.57%,and 85.71%,respectively;The multimodal MRI diagnosis of rectal cancer has a high consistency between preoperative N staging and pathological results(Kappa value=0.776,P<0.05).Conclusion:Multimodal MRI has good diagnostic consistency in preoperative TN staging of rectal cancer patients and has high practical value.
