Application of Digital Auscultation of Respiratory Sounds in Telemedicine of Respiratory Diseases
Objective:To analyze the role of digital auscultation of respiratory sounds in remote medical treatment of respiratory diseases.Methods:Using an electronic stethoscope to collect breath sounds from patients who need remote consultation in grassroots hospitals,upload them to the digital stethoscope system platform,and organize experts from Beijing's top three hospitals for remote consultation by the National Remote Medical and Internet Medical Center.Analyze the disease composition of the consultation cases,treatment effectiveness,and investigate patient satisfaction.Results:A total of 12 remote consultations were completed,with the top 2 diseases being interstitial lung disease caused by rheumatic immune disease and acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Due to the need for consultation,10 patients were clinically improved and 2 died after active treatment for difficult or critical cases.7 patients or family members were very satisfied,4 were relatively satisfied,1 was basically satisfied,and 0 were dissatisfied.The satisfaction rate was 91.6%.Conclusion:The combination of telemedicine and digital auscultation of respiratory sounds can fully leverage the advantages of internet technology,achieve the sharing and allocation of medical resources,and enable higher-level hospital doctors to conduct timely remote auscultation of patients,improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment effectiveness,and improve patient satisfaction.
