The Application of 6S Management in the Management of Orthopedic Instruments and Equipment
Objective:To analyze the application value of 6S management in the implementation of orthopedic instruments and equipment management.Methods:86 orthopedic instruments and equipment before and after the implementation of"6S"management(January December 2022)and 86 orthopedic instruments and equipment after the implementation of"6S"management(January December 2023)were selected as observation objects.Conventional orthopedic instrument and equipment management methods were used before the implementation of"6S"management.After the implementation of"6S"management,"6S"management was carried out with elements of sorting(Seiri),rectification(Seiton),cleaning(Seiketsu),literacy(Shitsuke),and safety(Security).Comparative analysis of the specific management effects that can be achieved under different orthopedic instrument and equipment management methods.Results:After implementing"6S"management,there was a significant advantage in the use of orthopedic instruments and equipment compared to before implementing"6S"management,with P<0.05.After the implementation of"6S"management,the level of orthopedic instrument and equipment management was significantly higher than before the implementation of"6S"management,with a significant statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing"6S"management in the process of orthopedic equipment management not only optimizes the use of orthopedic instruments but also enhances the management level of these devices,playing a positive role and significance in their management.
