Observation on the Effect of Scar Electrotherapy Combined with Continuous Passive Mobility Machine in Treating Knee Joint Scar Contracture in the Later Stage of Burns
Objective:To explore the effectiveness of scar electrotherapy combined with continuous passive mobility machine in treating knee joint scar contracture in the later stage of burns. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 60 patients with knee joint scar contracture after burns in our hospital from January 2022 to May 2023.The patients were divided into two groups based on the odd even number lottery method, with an even number as the reference group(n=30,treated with scar electrotherapy equipment)and an odd number as the experimental group(n=30,treated with scar electrotherapy equipment and continuous passive mobility equipment). The clinical efficacy, knee joint mobility before and after treatment were evaluated in both groups Burn Health Scale(BSHS-B Scale). Results:The therapeutic effect of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05);Before treatment, there was no significant difference in knee joint mobility and burn health scale between the two groups(P>0.05),but after treatment, the experimental group showed a higher level compared to the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of scar electrotherapy and continuous passive mobility machine treatment can improve the knee joint mobility of patients with knee joint scar contracture in the later stage of burns, with significant therapeutic effects. It is beneficial for the patient's prognosis and recovery.
