Value of Combined Examination of High Frequency Ultrasound and Low Frequency Ultrasound in Diagnosis of Intussusception in Children
Objective:To analyze the value of combined high-frequency ultrasound and low-frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of intussusception in children.Methods:83 cases of suspected intussusception in children admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to April 2023 were selected. All children were examined by high-frequency ultrasound and low-frequency ultrasound. The accuracy of different examination methods was analyzed by referring to the results of X-ray air enema examination. Results:Of 83 suspected children with intussusception,53 cases were true positive and 19 cases were true negative by low frequency ultrasonography,60 cases were true positive and 22 cases were true negative by high frequency ultrasonography and low frequency ultrasonography. There was no significant difference in the misdiagnosis rate and specificity between the single examination of low frequency ultrasound and the combined examination of high frequency ultrasound and low frequency ultrasound(P>0.05).The accuracy and sensitivity of the combined examination of high frequency ultrasound and low frequency ultrasound were significantly higher than that of the single examination of low frequency ultrasound(P<0.05),and the missed diagnosis rate was lower than that of the single examination of low frequency ultrasound(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combined examination of high frequency ultrasound and low frequency ultrasound in children with intussusception can more accurately diagnose the disease of children and avoid missing diagnosis and misdiagnosis.
