The Value and Safety of Hysteroscopic Electrocision and Cold Knife Resection for Patients with Endometrial Polyps
Objective:To explore the therapeutic value and safety of hysteroscopic resection and cold knife resection for endometrial polyps.Methods:62 patients with endometrial polyps from January 2020 to April 2022 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using the number table method. There were 31 patients in each group, and the two groups received different treatment methods. The control group underwent hysteroscopic resection and the observation group underwent hysteroscopic cold knife resection. The efficacy, complications, prognosis, and recurrence rate were compared. Results:The observation group underwent polypectomy with a cold knife, which resulted in shorter operation time, less intraoperative and postoperative bleeding, shorter hospital stay, and less impact on endometrial thickness(P<0.05);The incidence of complications in the observation group was low,P<0.05;The postoperative PBAC score of the observation group decreased and the VEGF level increased, with a significant difference compared to the control group(P<0.05);Two groups were investigated for polyp recurrence rates six months and one year after surgery, while the observation group had a low recurrence rate and a good prognosis. The percentage of two items included in the statistics for one year after surgery was P<0.05(with statistical significance). Conclusion:Hysteroscopic cold knife resection is a new minimally invasive treatment method that has been highly recommended in clinical practice in recent years. Its effectiveness and safety are better than electrocautery, with minimal damage to the patient's endometrium and a high postoperative complication rate.
