An Analysis of the Difference Between Laparoscopic Transperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair(TAPP)and Laparoscopic Complete Extraperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair(TEP)in the Treatment of Inguinal Hernia
Objective:To explore the therapeutic effects of laparoscopic transperitoneal inguinal hernia repair(TAPP)and laparoscopic complete extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair(TEP)for patients with inguinal hernia. Methods:A total of 66 adult patients diagnosed with inguinal hernia were selected from January 2019 to April 2023,and the included patients were divided into TAPP group and TEP group by random number table method, and TAPP and TEP surgical treatment were given, respectively. There were 33 patients in each group. The surgical indexes and postoperative pain of the two groups were compared and evaluated. Results:The operative time, the time to return to normal activities after surgery, and the average time of postoperative hospitalization in TEP group were shorter than those in TAPP group, and the intraoperative blood loss was lower than that in control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The postoperative visual analogue score(VAS)of patients in both groups decreased compared with that before surgery, and the postoperative VAS score of patients in TEP group was lower than that in TAPP group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of TEP operation on inguinal hernia patients is significant,it can effectively relieve pain, and patients have a higher degree of acceptance.
