Objective:To investigate the detection rate and diagnostic value of transabdominal superficial ultrasonography and multi-slice spiral CT in patients with appendicitis.Methods:40 patients with appendicitis admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to April 2022 were taken as research objects.Superficial abdominal ultrasound and multi-slice spiral CT were used for diagnosis, respectively,to observe the diagnostic accuracy of the two methods, detection rate of different types of appendicitis, diagnostic efficacy and satisfaction. Results:The diagnostic accuracy of multislice spiral CT was 95.00%,and that of abdominal superficial ultrasound was 62.50%.The diagnostic rate of multislice spiral CT was significantly higher than that of abdominal superficial ultrasound, and the phase difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rate of multi-slice spiral CT in acute suppurative appendicitis was significantly higher than that of abdominal superficial ultrasound(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the detection rate of gangrenous appendicitis, appendix perforation, acute suppurative appendicitis with peripheral abscess and 7 cases of chronic appendicitis(P>0.05).The diagnostic sensitivity of multi-slice spiral CT is higher than that of superficial abdominal ultrasound, but the specificity is lower than that of superficial abdominal ultrasound. The diagnostic satisfaction of multi-slice spiral CT was 95.00%,which was higher than that of abdominal superficial ultrasound 80.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both superficial abdominal ultrasonography and multi-slice spiral CT can be used to diagnose appendicitis in the early stage. If the diagnosis cannot be confirmed by superficial abdominal ultrasonography,multi-slice spiral CT can be used to improve the diagnosis rate.
