Effect of Continuous Glucose Monitoring System on Lifestyle Management of Type 2 Diabetes Patients
Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of continuous glucose monitoring(FGM)on the lifestyle management of type 2 diabetes patients. Methods:A prospective, randomized controlled trial was used to select 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus for observation, and 30 patients in the observation group were self-monitored with FreeStyle Libre Libre Sympathic Glucose Meter and observed in real time.Blood glucose should be rechecked at 3,6,9 and 12 months after wearing, and blood glucose abnormalities can be detected in time for intervention and guidance. The control group was treated with SMBG method, the blood glucose meter calibration was qualified, and the test strip was within the validity period. Results:During the 12-month follow-up,the average blood glucose control level of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the compliance and self-management ability of the patients in the observation group were also significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of continuous glucose monitoring system in the lifestyle management of type 2 diabetes patients can effectively improve the level of blood sugar control, reduce blood sugar volatility, and promote the diet and exercise management of patients, thus improving the quality of life.
