The Therapeutic Effect of Ultrasound Therapy Combined with Manual Instrument Subgingival Scraping Surgery for Chronic Periodontitis
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of ultrasound therapy combined with manual subgingival scraping surgery in patients with chronic periodontitis.Methods:60 patients with chronic periodontitis who received treatment in dentistry between May 2022 and May 2023 were selected for the trial. They were matched using propensity score(1:1)and divided into a control group and an observation group.30 patients in the control group received manual instrument subgingival scraping treatment, while 30 patients in the observation group received ultrasound therapy combined with manual instrument subgingival scraping treatment. The clinical efficacy and related indicators of the two groups of patients were analyzed. Results:After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the observation group was 93.33%,and the clinical efficacy of the control group was 73.33%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, the periodontal indicators(PD,PLI,BI,AL)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment, the recovery of teeth in the observation group was better, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment, the probability of pain in the observation group was 6.67%,while in the control group it was 30.00%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);After treatment, the tooth loosening rate index in the observation group was better, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of ultrasound therapy equipment and manual instrument subgingival scraping surgery has a significant therapeutic effect on chronic periodontitis.
