Preclinical Feasibility Study of Perfusion Balloon in Arteriovenous Fistulas Stenosis
There are a large number of patients with end-stage renal disease receiving maintenance hemodialysis in China every year, autogenous arteriovenous fistula is one of the preferred blood access.Long-term repeated dialysis will cause varying degrees of dialysis access stenosis in some patients.Although some methods are used in clinical practice, these programs have the disadvantages of poor effect or high price,so it is urgent to develop a device with a lower price and good clinical benefits. In this paper,a new perfusion balloon was designed, combined with anti-proliferative agents, like paclitaxel injection, and the clinical feasibility of the new device was preliminarily verified through in vitro simulation experiments, which provided effective theoretical support for subsequent animal validation and future clinical trials.
