Comparison of the Application of Digital 3D Scanning Technology and Impression Material Taking Technology in Oral Data Acquisition
Objective:To explore the effect of digital 3D scanning technology and impression material extraction technology respectively in oral data acquisition.Methods:70 patients with oral prosthesis admitted to Zhangzhou Changtai District Hospital(from June 2021 to June 2023)were selected as the investigation objects, and the grouping method was random number table, with 35 cases in both groups.Among them, the oral data of patients in the control group was indirectly collected after traditional silicone rubber molding, while the oral data of patients in the observation group was directly collected by digital 3D scanning technology. The duration of data collection, comfort during modeling, fitness of prosthesis[evaluation criteria of American Public Health Association(USPHS)],and evaluation indexes of data collection process(frequency of modeling, medical waste discharge and model wear)were compared between the two groups. Results:Compared with the two groups, the duration of data collection in the observation group was shorter than control group(P<0.05).The total comfort score of observation group was higher than control group(P<0.05).The observation group grade A rates of USPHS were higher than control group(P<0.05).The A-grade rates of color and texture in USPHS evaluation of the two groups were basically the same(P>0.05).The observation group modeling frequency, medical waste discharge and model wear degree were lower than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of digital 3D scanning technology in oral data acquisition can shorten the duration of data acquisition, reduce the frequency of take-up and medical waste discharge, and the model will not be damaged, increase the fitness of the prosthesis, and improve the comfort of patients during take-up.
