Clinical Study of Phacoemulsification Combined with Angle Separation Surgery for the Treatment of Glaucoma with Cataract
Objective:To analyze the effectiveness of phacoemulsification combined with angle separation surgery in the treatment of glaucoma with cataract.Methods:60 patients with glaucoma and cataract from August 2017 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects, with 30 cases in the study group and 30 cases in the control group. The study group used phacoemulsification combined with angle separation surgery for treatment, while the control group used phacoemulsification combined with trabeculectomy for treatment. The visual acuity, intraocular pressure control effect, central anterior chamber depth changes, surgical treatment efficiency, postoperative complications and other indicators of the two groups of patients before and after surgery were compared and observed to clarify the treatment effect. Results:There was no significant difference in visual acuity, intraocular pressure control effect, and central anterior chamber depth indicators between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).During the examination six months after surgery,it was found that the corrected visual acuity score, intraocular pressure, and anterior chamber depth indicators in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05);The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05);The treatment effectiveness rate of the study group was as high as 96.67%,while the control group had a treatment effectiveness rate of 73.33%.The treatment effectiveness rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:When treating patients with glaucoma and cataract, the use of phacoemulsification combined with angle separation surgery can effectively improve the patient's condition, reduce the incidence of complications, and have a significant effect.
